About Ryan

Ryan Dack has been a member of the South Orange County Community College District (SOCCCD) Board of Trustees since 2022 after being elected on the November 2022 general election ballot.  SOCCCD oversees the quality and financial stability of Saddleback College, Irvine Valley College, and the Advanced Technology & Education Park (ATEP).

Being only the second Democrat to ever serve on the SOCCCD Board of Trustees, Ryan has decided to run for the Democratic Party of Orange County's Central Committee in Assembly District 73. Ryan is committed to electing Democrats at the local level who are not only committed to the values our party holds dear but also recruiting candidates who will faithfully serve the public.

Ryan is a history teacher who has taught since 2018 in Irvine, Laguna Beach, and Huntington Beach public school districts.

An Orange County native, Ryan grew up in San Clemente before graduating from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science as a member of the Political Science Honor Society. He returned to Orange County to attend the School of Education at the University of California, Irvine, where he graduated from the school's graduate program with a Master of Arts in Teaching and a Social Science teaching credential in 2018.

Ryan lives in Irvine with his corgi, Pippin.
